Template Purification

Upon request, SeqXcel will purify DNA template for sequencing using commercially-available purification kits.

Plasmids

Submit 1 to 5 mL of liquid bacterial culture. LB broth is preferred over richer media. (When bacteria samples are shipped overnight to SeqXcel, they must be pelleted and the supernatant removed.)

The culture should be expanded from a single bacterial colony and grown overnight under appropriate selection conditions. For low-copy plasmids, submit 5 to 10 mL liquid culture.

PCR Products

Submit a PCR reaction mixture containing from 500 ng to 5 µg of the PCR product. If low-yields are expected, please notify SeqXcel before purification.
