Shipping Samples

DNA Templates and Primers

DNA templates, primers or premixed samples can be shipped in microcentrifuge tubes, sealed with parafilm and placed inside a large centrifuge tube, bubble wrap or other protective container. Use a well-padded mailer to protect the samples from rough handling.

96-well plates should be sealed with well caps that are secured tightly with parafilm and placed in a well-padded mailer.

We recommend that samples be shipped overnight for next day delivery. The samples need not be frozen but prolonged shipping conditions can degrade the DNA.

The shipping conditions depend upon the type of sample being submitted.
